Each week in 52 Weeks of Grateful I’m putting a prompt up for everyone. It’s a little thought-starter which you can follow… or not.
Today, I’m grateful for scrummy-yummy, delicious, ‘all will be all right with the world’ hugs.
Hugs don’t have to be hugs to be hugs. THANK YOU for all your emails of support and care and little words to help me swim out of that darn river. Every single one helps and every single one is treasured. I have no idea why many of the notes I received started with the words ‘you probably don’t need to hear this, but I just wanted to let you know’… oh my good god, I need to hear it! Everyone needs to hear it!
Every kind ‘how are you’ note that I received reminded me to send a similar one off to lovely people I am wondering about myself. Just a little ‘are you there, I’m here’ message. I won’t go into the details, but one of those messages I sent out really meant something this week. REALLY meant something. A (non-blogging) friend needed someone and I was there because you were there.
I was there because you were there.
That’s the sort of food I like the most – food for my very soul.
Come see me at Kidspot to see what I think about the ‘other’ kind of food.
So, what’s making you smile today? Add your post to the list below (and please, we love you, but it really does matter that your post is a Grateful one and not just a random) and pretty-please add a link back to this linky or to Kidspot. Then pop over to visit other bloggers who are spreading a little sunshine.

I am hopeless. I have been reading blogs, when I can, in bed, from my iPad. (I cannot even comment from my ipad.)I sensed you were in a down place and I am one that has NOT reached out & sent you my love. I’m sorry. Really sorry.
xx

Lots of love – soul food is the best kind (with a side order of something scrumptious though)

Isn’t the blogging community a bloody beautiful one?
I too, just needed to ease my uneasy feeling & check in to see that you were ok.
But I too, always like to send a little, hi, are you there, i’m here message when I get that uneasy feeling.
Soul food. The very yummiest there is.
Posie Patchwork says
Gosh, doesn’t the word TOTALLY work like that, when you don’t even realise you suddenly contact a dear friend or even an acquaintance JUST as they really need to hear from an old friend or someone not too close so they can truly pour their hearts out.
Soul food, zero calories, but the warmest yummiest feeling in the tummy, love Posie

Felicity sent me over and I love the idea of your 52 weeks of grateful! I don’t know if my last post is OK to post…I am certainly grateful for the subject and it is implied but not said is that acceptable?
I desperately need to find those things this year!!!!!!

I love hugs – any sort – but especially the ones you are describing here …. And sadly I am guilty of not handing them out enough lately π Thanks for the reminder!
PS – glad to hear they helped make you feel better π x

So caught up in my own stuff I didn’t see you were down π Belated hugs (and hugs always anyway) because you are of course a beautiful soul and I know that dreaded tug of anxiety and it is not nice at all.
Also I didn’t realise until after I’d linked up that there were themes! So sorry my addition was not at all food related, but very much gratitude related. Much love x x
