Saturday, what a day, grooving all week with you… oh, sorry. I was having a bit of a public Happy Days moment (go on, admit it, you have them in private all the time).
Here in Maxabellaland, Saturday is traditionally a sport, shop, sort the clothes, sweep the floors, strangle the Tsunamis (insert other ‘s’ words here – no pun intended) kinda day. But on Maxabella loves… I thought it would be grounding to make Saturday my ‘grateful’ day.
See, way back in January 2010, I decided that rather than commit myself to my usual 267 new year’s resolutions (there’s a lot to work on here), I would commit to just one:
And you know what, so far 20zen is shaping up to be one of the most content, most loving, most organised, most motivating, most happy years yet. Grateful for that!
I’m also grateful when…
1. Maxi-Taxi wears his school jumper the whole day when he has a cold and there are no snot marks on the sleeves. (Starting small here, people!)
2. The mailman brings my house porn magazines all the way up to the verandah instead of folding and squashing them in the mailbox slot so hard I need the Jaws of Life to release them.
3. The fairies* fold my clothes.
* Could possibly have been LOML, CCTV under review.

I am grateful that dispite drinking a bottle of wine last night – I feel chipper. I am not sure if I should be grateful or concerned. But anyway Mr Woog has taken the boys out so I am also grateful to the sounds of silence. xo

I’m grateful that DP gets up to the kidlets when they wake up during the night.

Shame my faery (ie babysitter ie you) didn’t fold my clothes 🙂 But I’m with Mrs Woog today. Feeling good *despite* an intoxicating night out with the school Mums/Dads.

I love it when the Folding Fairies come too – it is usually my LOML and I love that.
I am grateful that I have somewhere warm to sleep at night, that I have a warm snuggly body next to me and that my boys are snuggled up in their beds too. Nothing makes me more grateful than knowing we are all tucked into warm beds at the same time each night.

I’m so terribly grateful that one of the kids’ soccer matches was cancelled. Well, actually, it wasn’t cancelled as such. The silly council didn’t update the weather info line, and we, and the team we were supposed to play (as well as many others, I’m sure) didn’t turn up! Thankfully, that was the earlier of the two games, so I wasn’t standing on a cold, wet soccer pitch freezing my you-know-what off early this morn!
Amen, sista!

Please tell those little washing fairies to head on over here…I would be most grateful :o)

Today I am grateful for the invention of Penicillan, for without it I wouldn’t have been able to nip a second bout of tonsilitis in the bud. And as my Dr said ‘Go hard, take double the dose and strike that tonsilitis out!’ Nic

I’m grateful for the beautiful weather outside as we head of to my nephew’s 1st birthday party, not so grateful that the hubby had to work today but guess you can’t have it all

I’m thankful for snotless sleeves, too, but usually they’re my sleeves! I will also be thankful when the kiddos master the use of Kleenex. =>
