Here in Maxabellaland, Saturday is traditionally a sport, shop, sort the clothes, sweep the floors, strangle the Tsunamis (insert other ‘s’ words here – no pun intended) kinda day. But it’s nice to pause to appreciate the things in your life that are positive and affirming, whatever they may be. I thought it might be nice for us all to do a Saturday Grateful post and link up for lovely bloggy visits.
This Saturday I’m grateful for…
1. Easy, breezy days. Nothing to particularly do. No one to particularly answer to. Particularly lovely.
2. Sand. You have kept my children amused for hours and hours over the years. I know I complain a lot about the fact that sometimes my house feels like an extension of the beach thanks to your gritty little self, but I really, really appreciate your input to playtime everywhere.
3. A wharf. Sitting on the dock of the bay, watching the tide rolling away. Sitting on the dock of the bay, wasting time. (Thank you Otis Reading.)

These are great reasons to be grateful. I’ll even give you sand, which is the bane of my existence after Bella gets home from daycare.

I think there are issues at Linkyland. Yesterday at FlogYoBlogFriday there wasn’t one. And I can’t see yours either. Doh! I’ll link back to you though 😉
Hope you had a marvellous holiday. xx

I am with you on the sand. I am also grateful for my dryer, which despite being infiltrated by the sand, still carried on working after 14 years….
And the wharf thing – you have reminded me to do a Bonnie Doon post…

The wonders of sand will never cease to amaze me! I am grateful for the wonders of panadol – when it is shaken properly and Mr C isn’t just drinking the syrup off the top…

Oh the dilemma in sand!
I dispise it myself. It’s uncomfy and annoying. Especially wet sand. But the kids love it. I don’t mind our sandpit, but the beach i hate because i drown in the crap. But in the end it wins. My kids being happy always trumps.
This week i’m going to say my SO. He’s been incredible (mostly… and that means a good week, right?!)

Lovely things to be grateful for. This is fabulous idea. After a tough week it’s great to sit down and write about things I am happy and grateful for. It’s like therapy!

We haven’t experienced the sand thing yet, I have enough trouble with food crumbs and potting mix being walked through the house with Master N! Have a great weekend x
