Happy ‘less than a month until Christmas’ to you! We did Santa letters this week and amazingly the Tsunamis couldn’t think of more than 157 things to ask for this year. Their letters were each only 11 pages long. It’s a Christmas Miracle.
Aside from learning that my children are as materialistic and greedy as ever, I also learned:
1. The best game in the world for little boys is catching ants and flinging them onto Golden Orb or St Andrew’s spiderwebs and watching the ‘pet spider’ sort out his dinner. To be honest, it’s also the best game in the world for little boys’ mothers too – I have lost HOURS this week alone….
2. My life is not complete without a personalised wooden stamp from Love to Create. And, as it says on the box, it would “make a fantastic wedding gift” if the wedding couple had already moved into their ‘forever’ home because what exactly do you do with an address stamp for an address you no longer need to stamp?
3. RikRak Studio is not only the place to go for a showcase of the Beautiful and the Handmade, she is also having an AMAZING Happy Holidays giveaway that you would be nuts to miss out on… NUTS. Get over there! No wait, finish reading my post first and then get over there…!
4. I don’t know how I’ve existed up until now without this perfect bedside lamp…
5. I hate my new “Grateful” banner but I’m too lazy to change it right now.

Edited on Saturday:
I changed my button. I don’t know why I didn’t like the old button, but I like the new one a lot. Sorry for any trouble for those lovelies who had the banner button in their sidebar… love you! x

Oh the things i’ve learned . . . all my children need is a swimming pool. We use the local Army base one on the way home from school & lose hours there, they wear themselves out & collapse. This has been the norm for a decade but after a long cold Canberra winter, this week just reminded them of our family motto to happiness ‘just add water’.
Also my children don’t want anything for Christmas, we’ve asked & asked, they just like the idea of the farm (dream home, final address, put that on a stamp thanks).
Final thing, huge business opportunity clashes with a year 6 graduation & the broadcaster didn’t quite get why i’d choose that assembly & getting ready for her dinner/ dance instead??!!
Have a great week wrap up, love Posie
Hi, welcome..... says

I have learned many things this week but the MAJOR one? FUCKING PINE MOUTH. I seriously have a condition called this. I put some pine nuts from China (well from Harris Farm which THEY got from China) and for the past week now every time I eat and drink all I can taste is metallic soil. It’s awful. And I also learnt that if you tweet about said condition that EVERYONE will say you are pregnant which I incidentally realised that I DON’T want to be right now as sheer panic pulsed through every pine mouthy vein in my body!

Ahh the golden orbs, they are one thing I don’t miss about living in Sydney. The Son too was provider of flies to the many living around our home…..yuck

My lessons have been many and varied. Mostly that I still haven’t learnt to say no. And I need to.

Ah the perfect lamp for a bookworm π
I have learnt that I find it incredibly agitating when people claim the weekend before Xmas to hold personal events that dont relate to Xmas..ie. Baptisms, weddings etc. That is all.
Oh and I have also learnt that I am THE most impatient person to have ever roamed the planet.
