I mentioned yesterday that I’m not organising any Christmas parties this year, but in actual fact I have two non-Christmas parties on the go as I write. The Kinder 2010 Twilight BBQ – a bit of a ‘farewell to Kindergarten’ to be held after school at a cool park on 10 December. And the Kinder 2011 Welcome Lunch, where we welcome the new Kindy parents to our school next year. I just happen to be both a Kinder 2010 mum AAAAND a Kinder 2011 mum… so I was a natural fit for running the show (apparently). I’ll keep you posted on both these gigs and in the meantime…
This week I’m grateful for…
1. Stationery – it allows me to think things through, put them in order, make lists, wrap gifts, compartmentalise stuff and weirdly feel happy just looking at it. I can’t help myself, I love the stuff.
2. Savignon Blanc – and her sweet sister Chardonnay. Sometimes that Friday night glass of wine is all you’ve got going for you all week.
3. Muffins – so easy to make… so easy to eat.
So, what’s making you smile today? Grab my Grateful button from my sidebar if you like (see, over there to the right), add your Grateful post below and add a link back to me in your post. Then pop over to visit other bloggers who are spreading a little sunshine. No hurry – we’re all about laaaaazy Saturdays. Link is open all week. Happy day to you!

Awww… I have a love affair with stationery too. Love it like a fat kid loves cake {and I’m a fat kid who likes cake… so I know the love!}. Anyways… my loves today:
1. Having my Hubby home. I feel homesick without him… and I am so glad he’s back.
2. That it’s the weekend. After a week filled with all sorts of crazy… I’m glad to say goodbye to it.
3. That we’re out on fun adventures today. I can’t wait for Hubby and Lacey to wake so we can get moving on them.
Have a good weekend B. x

I love stationery, too -there is something elegant about it that an email simply doesn’t capture! This week I’m grateful that I finally got a diagnosis for my awful rash and with a healthy dose of steroids in me I’m hopefully on the road to recovery! I’m also grateful my family has been patient with me because I’ve been miserable to live with all week…..And finally, my link-up: red velvet cupcakes. One of these and itchy, painful rashes seem to disappear for a few minutes….

Ah, Bron, my fellow stationery fiend! I have been astonished at how popular my stationery posts have been. I thought I was the only one with a fetish – apparently not ☺. Don’t worry, I’ll keep them coming – even if it’s just for you and me ☺. J x

Hi lovely. I too am a stationery freak. Love, love, love pretty paper, notebooks, clips, pens, trays … anything really. I have also moved my blog. Unfortunately my exhubs was frequenting my Living Life as Me blog & it was making me feel violated. U may have noticed a lack of posts & less personal ones. Well I have a new blog, new location & am happy again. Will start blogging when back from holidays. Did a grateful one today though. 🙂 xx

I have just been wandering around Kikki K coventing many of there paperery goodness!
I use to love the week before school when you got to go and buy all your stationary for the new school year! I was a bit disappointed when MiniMe’s school told us there was a startionary pack to be bought for Kindy (but a bit relieved at the same time)!

Great list! I love stationary too! Especially big thick A4 noetebooks. I use them all the time for just about everything, lists, sketching ideas, all sorts of important and useless stuff lol Wouldn’t be without one in the house.

I’m a bit in love with your list. Stationary makes my heart sing. I’m more a pino gris girl than chardonnay, but we’re on the same boat. And muffins, sweet muffins. Also? Loving the new button!

Completely can’t get enough of stationary – I keep buying it in the hope that one day my house will look like one of those kikki k catalogues! And as for muffins…bake ’em, eat ’em, love ’em. But I’m going to have pass on the vino (after my thurs night 🙁
This week I’m grateful for lovely ideas I get from other people’s blogs yay!! xxxCate

I just wanted to say I love this weekly post. I find I am now saying to people at work just concentrate on what you are grateful for not what you don’t like. Cheers Charmaine

Thanks so much for the reminder to be thankful. It’s so easy to give glib answers like “world peace” but actually focussing on what I was thankful for right now really helped me xxx

Oh stationary, how I love thee!
I want to go crazy this year and by stationary for Christmas for all my nearest and dearest, but sadly I know that not everybody shares in this joy! Doesn’t mean I can’t go looking though.. xx
