Outside my window our cherry blossom is so gorgeous that I want to move to Japan immediately. Such happy sunshine and everything is shiny. Hello Spring, I’ve been expecting you!
The Problogger training event dominated the Aussie social webs again this week, with wrap up post after wrap up post providing inspiration for all. I found it fascinating to see that most of the posts were pretty much the same – as if there were collectively just 10 things to learn during 2 full days of conferencing. Summed up pretty much like this:
- Know what you like
- Know what you want
- Know what you need
- Know what you can do
I mean, I’m still going next year for shizz, but maybe mainly for the hellos!
For 7 of the collective 10 Problogger weekend take-outs, you only need to read Deb Dane’s nice wrap up. Karen’s post is rather lovely also.
Kelly Exeter (love ya, Kell) adds some meat to the bones with her awesome “5-ways” reflections and in her click-through writing resources post she tagged Al’s Get Paid to Write as being one of her favourites, so you’ve gotta love that. She also tagged two places where you can find out who pays for writing in Australia and what they’re paying – here and here. Useful, no?
In other news, my old mate Jeff Bullas (I’m starting to reassess my opinion of him) has lots of ideas for Facebook competitions.
Laney from Crash Test Mummy has proudly launched a new Blogger (“independent publisher”) agency called Agents of Influence.
And I love State of Digital’s analysis of social media from the perspective of Maslow’s hierarchy (but that could just be the-psychologist-within talking).
Add these wonderful posts from last week to this week’s reading list: Alana’s “I tried to stop writing last year” (ya just gotta, right?!); Julie’s “Encouraging ‘right’ parenting without guilt or superiority”; and check out Lani’s sweet homemade fairy.
Have a glorious weekend and enjoy the reading!
