Are my Roman Numerals correct up there? Is this something I can Google?
I snuck a fast “52 Project” post up this morning, but otherwise neither my thoughts nor my keystrokes touched my blog this week. In fact, I only remembered to put the kids’ portraits up when I sat down to begin writing this post you’re reading now and even then I realised that I hadn’t taken a shot of Cappers. Disaster!
No reason, just a little FIFO action and sometimes life gets in the way of life.
Do you know what always makes me smile? How ‘cliquey’ blogging is. I’m not talking little cliques who are mean and exclusive, I’m talking BIG cliques of like-minded folk who are off doing their own bloggy thing and you wouldn’t even know they were big in their own lunchbox. We really only know ‘our kind’ and I only know that there are ‘other kinds’ because of Voices of 2013. Whole gangs of play-based learning bloggers, foodie bloggers, business bloggers and fash bloggers. All equal-parts wonderful and scary in their own way.
Did you know there was a big ‘Blogcademy’ held in Melbourne this week? Maybe you did and only I didn’t, but I found it amazing to think that such a big Aussie blog thing existed without even making a blip on my social media radar until it was actually on. I wonder how many ‘cross-pollinators’ there are in Blogland? Who out there knows about all the things going on? Who’s keeping track? I thought it was me, but I can see that it’s way too big for one keen person.
Anyway, as much as I’ve neglected my own blog, I’ve also failed to learn a single interesting thing to share with you this week and nor did I read many of your links from last week’s Rewind. Gah! I will do better next week. That’s all we can ever hope for.
Happy reading.
