Last week I was apparently coming back in a jiffy never to be seen again. Some weeks are just like that, aren’t they? I have also failed to put out my July newsletter (but it’s July for ages, so I reckon I’m good). Holidays and blogging just do not mix for me.
I’m cranky tonight. I think it’s end-of-week exhaustion. We’ve been here there and everywhere, exploring our local area and merrily visiting friends. Wonderful (freeeee!) stuff and I haven’t enjoyed my kids this much in… forever, but young kids are busy like no other and I find it intensely draining by day’s end. Story of a mum’s life! It’s all fun and games until mum loses her head. I’m sure that’s how it goes.
Must rally because we are having friends for dinner tonight. Don’t worry, it’s one of those lovely ‘nothing special’dinners. I bought a few extra lamb chops to stick into the slow cooker, add a few steamed vegies and we’re all happy as clams. I love entertaining like that. “Come on over and eat whatever we’re eating!” What could be easier than that?
- Just in case you missed it, check out Chantelle’s wonderful new photo app. It’s so cute, even if you don’t play Photo a Day. She’s got a way about her, that clever Chantelle. Find out more about the app here.
- Another excellent lady with a keen eye for blogging is Pip Lincolne. You can mine her brilliance through the Kidspot Voices of 2014 A-Z of Blogging series.
- If you wrote about ‘why I write’ please add your link to our linky so we can read your words. I am LOVING these posts and I’m noticing some incredible parallels between writing style and process. Fascinating stuff, please keep sharing. You can also see more posts at Josefa’s Why I Write link up which I discovered after I created my own… ah, blogging!
So looking forward to reading your rewinds while I’m up the coast for a little family holiday at Aunty Zia’s (best aunty in the whole world). We are off tomorrow afternoon until Monday and I can’t wait to get away. Happy reading!
